Dr. Kecia Valdez
Kecia Valdez, DVM is the founder and owner of Jules Veterinary Center as well as our sister hospital Lathrop Veterinary Center in Lathrop California. Dr. Valdez was born in New Mexico and moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State Vet School. Her original dreams consisted of becoming a human doctor but a small schnauzer puppy quickly changed her mind. After becoming a concerned pet owner, she knew that becoming a veterinarian was her true calling. Kecia graduated with honors and was inducted into Phi Zeta, a veterinary honor society in 1998. Her medical interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, helping control the pet population and of course schnauzers. When she is not busy with her patient's medical cases, Kecia enjoys spending time with her three children Isabella, Francisco, and Sergio. She also finds herself lost in a good book regularly and taking as many pictures as she can.

Dr. Natalie Olsen
Natalie Olsen, DVM joined the Jules Veterinary Center team in February of 2011. She has a love for many species of animals including the very unique kind. This is demonstrated by her wide array of animals at home which include Elvira the Great Dane, Hunter the Black Labrador, Kid the Chattering Lory, Sherlock the Green-Cheek Conure, Tony the Tiger Oscar, Candy the Corn Snake, and last but not least Bubbles and Wheeze the Desert Tortoises. Her fascination with other species does not end there; while attending veterinary school at Texas A & M University she was an avid volunteer along the coast assisting with injured marine mammals and sea turtles. Natalie graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and has enjoyed working with animals ever since. In her spare time she loves to be outside with her husband Geoff and her son Frank; hiking, swimming, going to the beach, or running with her club called “Moms Running Wild”. Natalie looks forward to learning something new on a daily basis and strives to communicate that knowledge to her clients.

Dr. James Burnett
James joined the Jules Veterinary Center and Lathrop Veterinary Center team in August of 2010. Although Dr. Burnett is known around the hospital as James, his first name is actually Peter. He was born and raised England along with his four other siblings. James has always had a passion for helping animals and knew that becoming a veterinarian was his true calling. He attended St. George University in the United Kingdom and Greneda; and was inducted into Phi Zeta honors society in 2005. Upon Graduation in 2007, James continued his studies and became a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). James has been traveling the world practicing veterinary medicine as well as acquiring some unique animals. Eddie is a blind cat who came from Scotland, Peach the three-legged cat is from New York, and litter mates Ting and Mace are from Grenada. When he has a spare moment he enjoys playing tennis, Frisbee, surfing, hiking with his dogs, and going on long bike rides. James looks forward to starting his own family with his wife Christina, traveling the rest of the world, and providing great service to our clients.

Dr. Kyle Flessner
Dr. Kyle Flessner graduated from the University of Illinios College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After his graduation, Kyle practiced veterinary medicine in a small rural community. Because of his previous experience, he has a vast knowledge with companion and large animals. Kyle Joined the Jules Veterinary Center and Lathrop Veterinary Center’s team in August of 2011. In his spare time he thoroughly enjoys outdoor activities such as water sports, snow skiing, fishing, and touring the countryside on his motorcycle with his fiancé Amanda and their miniature Australian Shepherd Rudy.

Dr. Chelsey Lindberg
Chelsey Lindberg joined the Jules and Lathrop Veterinary Center’s team in August of 2011. She was born and raised in sunny San Diego and after graduating high school she knew she wanted to stretch her legs and explore the world. Her first stop was Texas to attend Abilene Christian University where she graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science. Next she continued to the University of Glasgow in Scotland for veterinary school. Chelsey has a love for traveling and over the years has toured across Europe and the United States. After graduating Vet School Chelsey settled in Georgia to start her veterinary career but knew California was her real home. Therefore she returned to the golden state! In her free time Chelsey enjoys an active lifestyle kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, horseback riding, and taking her yellow Labrador, Thor out on new adventures. |
